ISLAMABAD, Tarbela Dam (Sobra City) May 06 ( Alliance News): Mashal Initiative Institute of Special Education, Tarbela Dam (Subra City) and Alliance Good Governance Foundation organized a function to felicitate the teachers and students of Mashal School on its annual function.
The aim of this initiative is to appreciate and encourage the children of Mashal Initiative Institute of Special Education, which is the only school in the areas providing unparalleled services for students with IDD (Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities).
The performance of the IDD students in various tableaus during the event was brilliant and expressive which not only boosted their confidence but also marked the success of their teachers.

Addressing the function of Mashal Initiative Institute of Special Education as the chief guest, Chief Engineer Tarbela (TDP) Turesh Kumar said that like every year, this year too we are participating in the annual function of Mashal Initiative Institute of Special Education to encourage children. have gathered.
Chief Engineer Tarbela (TDP) Turesh Kumar said that it is more important to protect our IDD students and an institution like Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education I would say more than a boon to the society.
Appreciating the role of Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education and its teachers, he said that they are the best and kindest people who are teaching such students and spending their precious time to educate these children.
Turesh Kumar said that earlier this school was under the supervision of WAPDA but now it is being run by public donations and I will request our public welfare institutions to come forward and help this school.
Chief Engineer Tarbela (TDP) Turesh Kumar thanked all the management of the school including the Chairperson of our institution Dr. Nargis Ara Begum, Director of Administration Mr. Sir Abdul Wahid Ghaznavi, Director of Finance Mr. Sir Waqar, Director of Education Mrs. Thobia Muaz, Principal Aram Arif Sahiba and respected teachers.
IDD students of Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education presented various tableaus on the topics of “Tareef” “Palestine” Muslim Ummah, Comedy Tableau “Chaudhri and Foolish Servant” and Cultural Tableau of Gilgit-Baltistan Province, Educational Tableau on Importance of Education.

Talking to Alliance News, Principal of Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education Miss Iram Arif said that the idea of establishing Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education started with Sardar Muhammad Tariq, General Manager of Tarbela Dam Project.
She said that Mashal Initiative Institute was formally established in December 1998 with a total strength of 9.
Aram Arif said that at present the number of school is around 153 out of which 53 girls and 97 boys are studying in Mashal Institute of Special Education.
She said that WAPDA has allotted the building for girls and boys campus.
In response to a question, Aram Arif said that initially funding was obtained only from the Tarbela Dam Ladies Club and individual contributions.
She stressed upon the the people and concerned intuitions to come forwards and join hands with Mishal Initiative Institute of Special Education for the better health care, educational and other activities of such children who really needs the public attention and support.
SPORTS &CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

PHYSIOTHERAPY CENTER
The institute has two physiotherapy center one for female patients and one for male patients
Rehabilitation Center for the Physically Disabled (RCPD ) Peshawar, has trained male & and female physiotherapists at the institute.

Highly professional Vocational female teachers conduct 3 months of certified vocational training classes for indoor students as well as for outdoor women of the local community.
