ISLAMABAD, June 08 Diplomatic Star(DS): A well known Businessman and former Member National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed Jutt along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader for NA-167 Burewala Ayesha Nazir Jutt called on Prime Minister Imran Khan here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both the leaders briefed the prime minister about the current issues related to infrastructure including the developments of roads, new educational insititutions and revivial of several national institutions which are in dilapidated condition due to lack of attention by the authorities concerned.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured his full cooperation to both leaders for addressing issues of their areas on pritoity basis, besides accepting all their demands and proposal related to the developments of both the Burewala and Vehari city.
In the meeting, matter related to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf South Punjab Committee was also discussed. Prime Minster showed remorse over little work for the past 2.5 years therefore he suggested to restructure the committee.
Chaudhry Nazir Ahemd Jutt during the meeting requested the Prime Minister to included his constituency for health Insurance programme, accepting the demands of Nazir Ahemd Jutt Prime Minster Imran Khan assured him that the people of his areas soon would be included in Sehat Saholat Card.\
Iman Khan further said that Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen and Chairperson BISP Sania Nishtar are working towards it and soon would have good news for poor people of the Vehari District.
The Prime Minister describing agriculture sector as one of the major contributors in economic growth expressed his government’s commitment to protect the country’s growers from the exploitation of cartels and mafias.
Ayesha Nazir Jutt informed the prime minister that the government agriculture incentives and facilities are very friendly and profitable for farmers, and yielding postive results for agri-sector.
She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was being appreciated by the farmers for his intervention, which led to the passage of Sugar Factories Control (Amendment) Act 2021 by the Punjab Assembly, giving a direct benefit of Rs. 80 to 90 billion to sugarcane growers in the province.
Both the leader, expressed their satisfaction over police performance in the province particularly in the Vehari District and apprecaiting Prime Minster vision to bring reforms in the system.
Later, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed Jutt and PTI Leader Ayesha Nazir held a meeting with Advisor to Prime Minister for Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production, and Investment Abdul Razaaq Dawood.
Both the leader (Nazir Ahmed & Ayesha) has taken up the various issues with Abdul Razaaq Dawood related to trade, investments and creation of job opportunities for youth of the area.
They have also discussed the revival of Burewala Textile Mills (BTM) which is a mega project and backbone of the Burewala city, besides its revivial creates thousands(20,000) of job opportunities for local skill and unskilled people.
It was also discussed to facilitate business community by constructing a parallel road construction 8.5 KM across the BTM , which will be an option to create 30,000 shops alongside and around 30,000 families will get benefit from this project.
Both the leader has also briefed the advisor about matter of Land acquisition of Rashidia Welfare Medical City, which had been already discussed with Chief Minister Punajb Sardar Usman Buzdar when he came to Islamabad.
They have demanded to excute all development schemes directive by Chief Minister Punjab earlier, including health, education, infrastructure: road, water supply and sewerage and Agriculture University project.
They have also informed that the Electrification of NA 162 and NA 163 are approved. Grid station in Gaggo Mandi, and Machiwaal, Land finalised with MEPCO and will be starting soon.
Proposal of Gaggo Mandi to be made into Tehsil and Burewala into District and to be included in Sahiwal division are the core demand of its people, they said.
