LAHORE, 2 May (Diplomatic Star): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the unanimous stance of all political parties in Parliament regarding national defense and security.
Speaking to Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the head of the PML-N parliamentary party in the Senate and chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Nawaz Sharif praised the collective commitment shown by lawmakers.
Senator Siddiqui met with the party leader in Raiwind to brief him on the PML-N’s performance in the Senate.
During the meeting, Senator Siddiqui highlighted a recent resolution passed by Parliament, which reaffirmed the commitment to national defense.
The resolution received broad support from all political parties, underscoring the importance of unity for the country’s security.
Nawaz Sharif stated, “Differences of opinion are the beauty of democracy, but when it comes to the great goal of national defense, all must unite.”
He emphasized that the role of parliamentarians in promoting national unity is vital for creating an atmosphere of solidarity among the people.
