ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (Diplomatic Star): Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Alex Berg extended warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan on the country’s 79th Independence Day, expressing hope for continued prosperity, resilience and greater opportunities for all Pakistanis.
In a special Independence Day message issued by the Embassy of Sweden in Islamabad, she conveyed heartfelt greetings to the government and people of Pakistan, describing the occasion as an important milestone in the nation’s history.
The ambassador said Pakistan’s Independence Day offers an opportunity to reflect on the country’s remarkable journey since independence and to acknowledge the valuable contributions of its diverse communities in shaping a stronger and more inclusive future.
She praised the resilience, determination and optimism of the Pakistani people, noting that their continued efforts play a vital role in the country’s social and economic development.
Expressing Sweden’s goodwill, she said the Embassy of Sweden in Islamabad warmly congratulates the people of Pakistan on this national occasion and values the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
The ambassador also expressed hope that the coming years would bring greater prosperity, sustainable development and expanded opportunities for all Pakistanis.
