LAHORE, Oct 7 ( Alliance News): Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman Friday sent a convoy of trucks containing 20 thousand ration packs prepared by APTMA to help the flood victims here at Governor House.
Addressing the press conference held on this occasion, Governor Punjab said that the first priority at this time is the rehabilitation of the flood victims. He said that the federal government is actively engaged in relief activities in flood affected areas.

Coordinated efforts are being made in this regard. Punjab province is also a part of the federal government which is distributing relief goods to the flood victims. He said that it is a matter of pride that the government as well as institutions, district administrations and welfare organizations are helping the flood victims. Working full time.
Governor of Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that businessmen have always actively participated in public welfare works in every difficult hour and today, twenty (20) trucks of relief goods were sent here from Governor House Lahore organized by Optima. Sent to victims.
He said that the doors of the Governor’s House are open all the time for this charity. Governor Punjab said that Pakistan has been badly affected by the effects of climate change.
He said that the recent floods in the country have caused widespread destruction, millions of people have been affected while thousands of people have lost their lives.
The Governor of Punjab said that the universities have been instructed to send the items needed for the health of the affected people, especially the mother and child, in which the supply of mosquito nets, tents and other items should be ensured.

In response to a question, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that all our focus is only on the rehabilitation of the victims. He said that it is true that this time is not for politics but for helping the flood victims.
He said that the representative of the federation is the head of the province and it is my responsibility to inform the federal government about the problems faced by the people of the province. He said that in this regard, various business delegations keep meeting him and they convey their problems to the concerned circles.
He said to try to solve the problems of the business community. Patron-in-chief of Optima Gohar Ijaz, Chairman Optima and philanthropists were also present on this occasion.

Earlier, in a meeting with Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman, President Meri Pechan Welfare Foundation NGO Shahida Naveed informed the Governor about relief work of her NGO in flood hit areas.
She said that under the Umbrella of Meri Pechan Welfare Foundation, free health care facilities being offered to the flood victims under the supervision of Prof Dr Naveed Iqbal, who has not only taking care of patients but also sending huge number of medicines to these deserving communities.

Shahida Naveed also informed the Governor about her Child protection efforts and several other initiatives taken by the NGO to ensure free health cares, health counselling, mother child health care, child education and others facilities had already done by her organization.
Shahida Naveed also discuss the future the vision and objectives of Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation with Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman.
On occasion, Governor of Punjab, Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman has lauded the services rendered by Meri Pehchan Welfare Foundation in health sector, particularly in flood hit areas.

The Governor said that in this difficult times such welfare organization played a very important role to help out deserving communities, especially in this devastating flood and hoped that more social work would be done from such platforms.
