ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (Diplomatic Star): The president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended condolences to President Dr Arif Alvi over the significant loss of life and large-scale destruction caused by heavy rains and floods in Pakistan.
In a letter to the president of Pakistan, he said ” We were deeply saddened by the news of significant loss of lives caused by heavy rains and floods in your country.”
Azerbaijani government to provide aid to Pakistan.
President Ilham Aliyev’s has passed instruction, the Azerbaijani government will provide $2 million in aid to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan aimed at eliminating the consequences of the heavy rains and floods that resulted in significant loss of life and large-scale destruction in the country, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told, Azeri media reported.
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Ali Asedov, has addressed a farewell letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, regarding the numerous human casualties and damage caused by the heavy floods in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Prime Minister, Ali Asedov, on the occasion of this tragedy, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan said “I offer my profound condolences to you, families and loved ones of those who were killed, and the brotherly people of Pakistan, and wish speedy recovery to the injured and earliest elimination of the natural disaster’s consequences.”
It is pertinent to mentioned here, that the Azerbaijan envoy to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and her better half have also tweeted this news from their respective social media accounts, today.
