The struggle of Kashmiris will continue till the right of self-determination: INSPAD President

LUTON (London), July 16 (Diplomatic Star): Prominent Kashmiri intellectual and President of Think Tank Institute of Peace and Development INSPAD Dr. Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum has said that the struggle of Kashmiris will continue until they get the right to self-determination.

The martyrs of Jammu laid down their lives for the sacred mission, the same mission has always been in view of every Kashmiri, he was speaking here at the Diege Pratkalf dinner hosted by the President of Pakistan Muslim League (Qayoom) Azad Kashmir and prominent Kashmiri leader Chaudhry Jahangir Khan Pothi in his honor, Sardar Tahir Tabassum said.

He said that Kashmiris have paid a heavy price for their freedom and sacrificed three generations. The atrocities and brutality of the Indian army and government could not create any obstacle in their way.

He said that the lives of Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmad Shah and the Hurriyat leaders are in danger.

The United Nations and other international organizations should play their role to ensure the safety of their lives. Put pressure on India to end the violations and atrocities.

Chaudhry Jahangir Pothi said that we express complete solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will never leave them alone and demand the immediate unconditional release of the Hurriyat leaders.

The false cases against them should be dropped. The head of the Pothi family, Haji Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar Pothi, eminent academicians Prof Masood Akhtar Hazarvi, Prof Muhammad Hafeez Mughal, political and social personality Syed Hussain Shaheed Sarwar Advocate, businessmen Syed Abid Geelani, Chaudhry Zameer Pothi and Chaudhry Shahbaz Pothi also attended the dinner.

Earlier, Member of the British Parliament and Shadow Minister for Justice Mr. Afzal Khan has said that the dream of independence cannot be fulfilled in peace, the Kashmir conflict can be resolved peacefully only by the implementation of United Nations resolutions.

Both the parties India and Pakistan should start the process of negotiations and dialogue, the real party Kashmiri should also be included in it.

The sacrifices of Kashmiris will never go in vain. He was speaking in lunch by him in honour of president of global think tank Institute of Peace and Development INSPAD Dr. Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum.

Member British Parliament Afzal Khan further said that the whole world has become aware of the atrocities, massacres and serious violations of human rights by the Indian government and army on the occupied Kashmir and the international organizations and peace-loving nations should take action against them. We should raise our voice for the end of unjust oppression and massacre.

Afzal Khan has said that to make world peace a reality, the long-standing disputes of Kashmir and Palestine must be resolved immediately. Afzal Khan MP appreciated INSPAD and Dr Tahir Tabassum’s best efforts on peace, and dialogue on interfaith harmony and said I will support and favoured INSPAD on these issues in near future.

Speaking on this occasion, president INSPAD Sardar Tahir Tabassum said that there is an urgent need to start dialogue between India and Pakistan on Kashmir, INSPAD doing for joint efforts of like-minded intellectuals, experts and religious scholars for world peace, religious harmony and coexistence.

Our organization INSPAD is making serious efforts for dialogue and cooperation between the Abrahamic religions and other religions and faiths and a high-level global coordination committee will be establish soon. An effective response can be given and the danger of clash of civilizations in the world can be eliminated and promoting peace and religious harmony can be establish.

INSPAD Overseas Liaison Committee Chairman Chaudhry Jahangir Khan Pothi said that INSPAD’s mission is for peace, security and coexistence in the world and efforts will be made to promote and raise awareness of these objectives.

Haji Chaudhry Mohammad Asghar Pothi, head of Pothi family, senior leader of Muslim Conference Chaudhry Bashir Ratvi, prominent Kashmiri leader Syed Hussain Shaheed Sarwar Advocate Luton and social figure Raja Arif Jamroz Khan Bolton attended the lunch. These leaders also congratulated Member of Parliament Afzal Khan on the happiness of Hajj Baitullah.
