ISLAMABAD, Dec 07 (Diplomatic Star): Finland  Embassy on the occasion of its 105th National Day, the anniversary of country’s Independence has resumed its operation in Pakistan after ten year closure gap.

Ambassador to Pakistan Hannu Ripatti has announced this while addressing the cake cutting ceremony organized by the embassy to mark Finland Independence Day ,here at a local hotel.

The Ambassador said that reopening of embassy was a good omen for both countries which would further bring two countries more close on different fields including trade investment culture and many others that would cause of strengthening relations between two nations.

The envoy said that his country was eager to work again with Pakistan in diverse areas of mutual interests.

The envoy said that its Embassy stimulates and provide such services for the dialogue between Finland and Pakistani institutions in areas of mutual interest with a view of generating benefits in the development of the bilateral relations.

The Ambassador Hannu Ripatti said that Finland is keen to identify and bring to fruition the opportunities for cooperation and the promotion of mutual knowledge and understanding between the representatives of political, economic and cultural fields in the two countries.

The ambassador informed that the entire Embassy team works towards the development of the friendly and mutually beneficial relationship between two countries, with an input of initiative and expertise in the formulation of the bilateral cooperation agenda in the political, economic, cultural, academic or scientific fields.

He said we were are looking forward to continuing our collaboration on shared priorities addressing the challenges and reaffirming our commitment to human rights.

Our partnership will grow stronger as we deliver results for our people and strengthen our democracies to meet the challenges of the years to come.

The ambassador said that it has been officially announced that embassy has started its function after ten years absence on September 1, 2022. The ambassador also hoped to full cooperation in all sectors of interest.

He also expressed his joy on the event of Independence day that the embassy will celebrate its events with enthusiasm in future after smooth function the Pakistan and will enjoy the healthy relations in its domain.

The event was attended by diverse audience, including European Unions members, ambassadors, dignitaries and representatives of the international organizations and media persons amongst the invited audience to Finland’s national day celebrations.
