ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (Diplomatic Star): Chairman National Commission for Minorities Chela Ram Kewlani paid a courtesy call on Nepali Ambassador to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari here on other day.

During the meeting various matters related to minorities and their social uplift and well being were being discussed by the Chairman Minorities Commission Chella Ram Kevalani and Tapas Adhikari.

The ambassador said that the cultural, inter-religious harmony was a more imperative and only way forward for sustainable socio-economic uplift of the society.

Chairman Minorities Chella Ram representing the Hindu community as an individual and as institutional, he informed the Ambassador about working and initaitative taken by the commission for welfare of the minorities.

The Ambassador Tapas appreciated his efforts for the welfare of the minority community and commission over all work performance.

Chairman National Commission for Minorities Chela Ram Kewlani thanked the Ambassador for his time and  termed the meeting was very useful for future initiatives about minorities in Pakistan.

 

 

 

Shehbaz Sharif felicitates Nepal’s new PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday felicitated Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on assuming the office of the prime minister of Nepal.

“Heartiest felicitations to Rt Hon’ble Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on becoming Prime Minister of Nepal,” he said in a tweet.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Nepal enjoyed cordial relations as regional partners and expressed the desire to work with the new Nepalese prime minister.

“I look forward to working with him to further strengthen our bilateral ties and regional cooperation,” he said.
