FDE terminated services of Six Female Montessori teachers

ISLAMABAD, Dec 14 (Alliance News): Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has terminated the services of Six Montessori Female Teachers who were rendering services in different schools under Prime Minister Reform programs launched by the PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz during their previous tenure.

Deputy Director, FDE Samina Zia has issued their termination orders on December 14 with the approval of Ministry Education here on Wednesday, the FDE office order stated to stop the salaries of mentioned teachers With effect from 7 November 2022.

It was informed that some of the teachers whose contract was yet not expired, even that their salaries have been stop and stand terminated from the service.

It is pertinent to mentioned here that the cases of these teacher for contract extension and regularization has been taken by the  National Assembly’s Special Committee on Sacked Employees under the chairmanship of Pakistan Peoples Party Leader and Member National Assembly Prof Dr Qadir Khan Mandokhail.

The FDE has not only deprived these female teachers to be the part of committee lists as the National Assembly’s Special Committee asked FDE to provide the details of their contract and Daily wages employees, but also terminated their services.

Earlier, a month, a special committee of the National Assembly formed to hear cases of “affected employees” and deputationist female teachers has ordered the education ministry to start departmental proceedings against Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Director General Dr Ikram Ali Malik for non-compliance of National Assembly speaker’s ruling as well as well as the refusal for implementing the committee’s decisions.

The Chairman Special Committee on Affected Employees Qadir Khan Mandokhail has asked the Ministry of Education to initiate departmental action against the FDE DG for harassing the committee members as well.

An FDE official claimed that the education minister has clearly said that no FDE official was required to appear before the committee and comply with recommendations.

He said that the committee has been told that there were judgments of higher courts and they cannot go against them.
