Romanian Embassy, PNCA to Launch Opera Singing Courses in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, March 4 (Diplomatic Star): The Embassy of Romania, in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), is set to launch opera singing courses in Islamabad from April 9, 2025, to promote Romanian culture and foster artistic exchange.

Renowned Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea-Gluga will conduct the sessions every Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the PNCA premises in F-5/1, Islamabad.

The program is open to individuals aged 14 and above, with younger participants focusing on basic techniques.

This initiative provides aspiring vocalists with an opportunity to explore opera, blending classical singing techniques with theatrical expression. Under Ms. Costea-Gluga’s guidance, participants will develop their vocal skills and stage presence.

The PNCA, a leading cultural institution in Pakistan since 1973, continues to promote artistic endeavors, and this initiative aligns with its mission to expand artistic education.

The introducing canto classes, the Romanian Embassy aims to strengthen cultural ties and share Romania’s rich musical heritage with Pakistani students.
