ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (Diplomatic Star): Belarus’ MTZ Plant has signed a strategic cooperation agreement and multiple commercial contracts with Pakistani companies during a recent visit to Islamabad and Lahore. The agreements were inked by MTZ General Director Vitaly Vovk with Pakistani firms “Shahzad Trade Link” and “HBL Zarai Services.”
MTZ, a long-standing partner in Pakistan, primarily supplies “BELARUS” tractors with 50-80 horsepower. The new strategy focuses on promoting machinery with over 100 horsepower in the Pakistani market. Agreements were also reached to enhance the promotion, sales, and maintenance of these machines.
The company is exploring the creation of demonstration sites and mobile service centers for agricultural machinery in various provinces, utilizing its existing dealer network and new partners.
Additionally, MTZ signed a $25 million contract with Shahzad Trade Link for tractor supplies, along with a $1.4 million agreement for spare parts from August to December.
At the “International Food Hospitality & Beverage Industry Exhibition” in Lahore, MTZ further solidified its presence by signing a commercial agreement with Raza Fecto, owner of “Fecto Belarus Tractors (Private) Limited.”
