ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (Diplomatic Star):The foreign diplomats based in Islamabad have greeted Pakistani government and people on the occasion of Pakistan Day and said they would continue working for better bilateral relations.
German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck in a message on Pakistan Day said on his social media account ” Pakistanis are a resilient nation” sharing his sentiment over his stay in Pakistan, The envoy said that I feel grateful and honored to spent a wonderful time with such admirable and very hospitable people.

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov on Wednesday shared a short-viedo and expressed his sentiment along with wife on Pakistan Day at Shakar Parain Monument.
The envoy greeted whole Pakistani nation on Pakistan Day and said Azerbaijan attached great importance to its ties with Pakistan and the relations between the two countries have witnessed steady progress in diverse fields over the decades and Azerbaijan remains committed to further strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.

Australia’s Chargé d’Affaires in Pakistan, Bryce Hutchesson Wednesday greeted Pakistan’s government and people on the occasion of Pakistan Day and said they would continue working for better bilateral relations.
In a message on 23 March when Pakistan’s Government and its people celebrating the 82nd anniversary of the passing of the Pakistan Resolution – the proposal adopted in Lahore in 1940 which foreshadowed Pakistan’s creation, he Bryce Hutchesson said that Australia has been a steadfast friend to Pakistan since independence.
The envoy said that Pakistan had made great strides in building its democracy and economic development and Australia has been a steadfast friend throughout.
“We [Australia] will continue to stand with Pakistan as it strives to achieve its aspirations for economic security and long-term prosperity.”
The envoy said the two nations had much in common.
“Our common love of cricket and Commonwealth ties continue to colour and underpin our warm and longstanding bilateral relations.”
Bryce Hutchesson also talk about the recent visit of the Australian Cricket team to Pakistan and said “the goodwill surrounding the current tour of Pakistan by the Australian cricket team has been heart-warming and shows yet again the hospitality for which Pakistanis are renowned.”
He said he looked forward to the strengthening of the two nations’ cooperation on defence, trade, education and development, including assistance to support Pakistan’s response to COVID-19.
“As friends, we are there for each other in the tough times as well as the good,” he said.
The envoy also congratulated the Pakistani diaspora in Australia and said he saluted the contribution of that vibrant community to a strong, prosperous and inclusive multicultural Australia.
All this provides a solid foundation for strengthening our bilateral ties, underpinned by a vibrant Pakistani-origin community in Australia now approaching 90,000 people. With easing of travel restrictions, Australia looks forward to welcoming many Pakistanis to our shores in 2022 and beyond, including Pakistani students returning to our world-class educational institutions, the envoy said.
Growing trade and commercial ties will support post-pandemic economic recovery in both our countries, he said that there are many opportunities for mutual benefit, particularly in education and agriculture.
Australia’s excellence in innovation, science and technology provides fertile opportunities for business-to-business collaboration.
This Pakistan Day, the envoy said that as Islamabad hosts the 48th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation under the theme, ‘Building Partnerships for Unity, Justice, and Development’, Australia is pleased to be attending as a guest to underpin closer engagement on this agenda that is so important to all.

British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner also greeted Pakistanis on Pakistan Day besides sharing pictures of North Tower of Westminster Abbey on his social media account where he said it is impressive to see Pakistan’ flag flying whole Day at the top of North Tower of Westminster Abbey.

The US Embassy Islamabad also extend best wishes to Pakistani people on Pakistan Day and posted it on Embassy Social media Account.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Japan Matsuda Kuninori said the meritorious sacrifices rendered by the resilient people of Pakistan over the decades towards achieving the goal of a peaceful and developed Pakistan were highly commendable.
“March 23rd is a landmark day in the history of Pakistan and holds a very significant importance for its people. On this important occasion on behalf of the Government and the people of Japan, I would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to the leadership and the people of Pakistan and offer our best wishes for their prosperity and well-being,” he said in a message.
The ambassador said Japan attached great importance to its ties with Pakistan and the relations between the two countries have witnessed steady progress in diverse fields over the decades and Japan remains committed to further strengthening cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
Matsuda said he would continue working for stronger Japan-Pakistan relations.
“On the momentous occasion of Pakistan Day, let’s renew our resolute commitment to stay together and work together towards our shared goal of a peaceful, stable and prosperous Pakistan,” he said.
